Understand the increased thresholds for retrenchment (300 workers) and standing orders under the Industrial Relations Code. Know the concept of 'national floor wage' and who determines it (Central Government).

Be aware of the 'inspector-cum-facilitator' role. Familiarize yourself with the constitutional basis (Concurrent List, Article 246) and the general principle of state rule-making. Practice MCQs that test these specific details, including identifying the correct Code for a given provision or distinguishing between old and new thresholds.

A common trap is mixing up the names of the new Codes with the old Acts they replaced. Create flashcards for key definitions, numbers, and the list of consolidated laws for quick recall. Pay attention to landmark judgments related to labour laws, especially those that define 'industry' or 'right to strike', as they provide historical context to the new provisions.
