Prelims Strategy

Use paired distinctions to eliminate close errors. Bioaccumulation occurs within an organism, while biomagnification concerns trophic relationships; neither is defined by soil versus water or short versus long exposure alone. Match Annex A with elimination, B with restriction and C with unintentional production, retaining the possibility of detailed exemptions or conditions.

Keep Articles 6, 7 and 8 separate in function: stockpiles and wastes, implementation plans, and the listing process. Stopping production does not remove legacy material. A scientific recommendation is not identical to the COP decision, and a COP decision does not by itself settle the effective obligation for a particular Party.

Memorise 2001 adoption and 2004 entry into force without swapping them. Treat the 2025 consolidated text as a reference with its stated legal limits. In an option about precaution, reject both the idea that evidence is unnecessary and the demand for separately proven harm in each jurisdiction before the process can proceed. Read the procedural stage and the claim's scope carefully.
