Influence and Relation with Thought and Behavior — Mains Strategy

Mains Strategy

Use a short opening that states the relationship is reciprocal and conditional. Then explain one pathway from attitude to interpretation and conduct, followed by one pathway from experience or reflection back to attitude. A worked administrative example is more useful than an unconnected list of psychological theories.

In the body, identify the situational conditions that can interrupt the pathway. An officer's willingness to report an error may be constrained by organisational punishment; a citizen's support for a programme may be constrained by access. Explain how the proposed safeguard addresses that particular condition. Pair individual reflection with relevant procedural measures such as consistent criteria and review.

Conclude with evidence-responsive conduct: notice assumptions, verify facts and adjust the decision when warranted. Do not claim that emotional control alone eliminates bias or that attitudes have no predictive value. For a case study, make the next action explicit and identify how its effect will be checked. The answer should connect thought, feeling and conduct without treating them as identical.
