Make a chronology with a separate function column. Pair 1993 with peace and tranquillity, 1996 with military confidence-building measures, 2005 with political parameters and the distinct implementation protocol, 2012 with WMCC, and 2013 with border defence cooperation.

Read statements about the LAC carefully. Do not substitute an agreed international boundary for the line used in managing the existing situation. Similarly, a mechanism for consultation should not be credited with a final settlement simply because it discusses border affairs.

For recent developments, attach place and date to the event. The October 2024 arrangement concerned specified areas and issues; it should not be expanded into a claim that every territorial dispute was resolved. Distinguish the date of an arrangement from the date of a parliamentary reply describing it.

In conceptual questions, separate disengagement, wider de-escalation and boundary settlement. These may be related in a peace process, but a source establishing one does not automatically establish the others or the exact present deployment position.
