Prelims Strategy
Make a table with event, date, parties and meaning. The February 2026 FNTA agreement concerns a proposed authority within Nagaland. The July 2026 surrender concerns 46 KCP (PWG) cadres in Manipur. A question can use genuine names while incorrectly expanding the scope of the event.
Distinguish ceasefire, suspension of operations, political settlement and rehabilitation. They are related stages or instruments, but none automatically proves completion of the others. Check validity dates before treating an arrangement as current in October 2026.
For faction questions, avoid assigning a settlement to every organisation sharing an acronym. The December 2023 ULFA agreement should not be taken as proof that ULFA (Independent) joined it. Named parties are part of the fact being tested.
For statistics, compare equal periods and read footnotes. The December 2025 statistical note includes observations through November, so an unqualified comparison with a full year can mislead. Likewise, assistance released is a financial observation, not a direct measure of completed rehabilitation.
