To effectively tackle NEET questions on the Equation of Continuity, a systematic approach is key. Firstly, always identify if the fluid is incompressible (most common for NEET, implying A1v1=A2v2A_1v_1 = A_2v_2) or if density changes are mentioned (requiring ho1A1v1=ρ2A2v2ho_1 A_1 v_1 = \rho_2 A_2 v_2).

For numerical problems, pay meticulous attention to units and ensure consistency. Remember that area is proportional to the square of the radius or diameter (A=pir2=pi(d/2)2A = pi r^2 = pi (d/2)^2), so if a diameter halves, the area quarters, and the velocity quadruples.

This squared relationship is a frequent source of error. For problems involving branching pipes, remember that the total flow rate into the junction must equal the total flow rate out. For conceptual questions, focus on the underlying principle of mass conservation and the assumptions (steady flow, ideal fluid).

Be careful not to confuse the Equation of Continuity with Bernoulli's Principle; while they are related, they address different aspects (mass conservation vs. energy conservation).
