It's an ideal scenario where the process can be perfectly undone, and both the system (the Jenga tower) and its surroundings (your hands, the table) return to their exact initial states without any net change.

This means no energy is lost to friction, no heat is transferred across a significant temperature difference, and the process happens incredibly slowly, allowing the system to always be in a state of near-equilibrium.

Think of it as a perfectly smooth, frictionless pendulum swinging forever – it's an idealization, not something you see in everyday life.

Now, consider what actually happens when you play Jenga. You pull a block, the tower wobbles, maybe some dust falls, and when you try to put it back, it's never quite the same. There's friction, some energy is dissipated as sound or heat, and the process leaves a 'mark' on the universe.

This is an irreversible process. All real-world processes are irreversible. They happen spontaneously, often quickly, and always involve some form of energy degradation or dissipation.
