42nd Amendment	1976	Introduced Part IVA containing Article 51A with ten fundamental duties, fundamentally altering the constitutional balance between rights and responsibilities. This amendment was part of extensive constitutional changes during the Emergency period.	Created constitutional framework for citizen responsibilities, influenced subsequent legislation and policy-making, provided moral foundation for democratic citizenship, and established unique Indian approach to balancing individual rights with social duties.
86th Amendment	2002	Added the eleventh fundamental duty making it obligatory for parents and guardians to provide educational opportunities to children between 6-14 years, simultaneously with making education a fundamental right under Article 21A.	Created comprehensive constitutional framework for education combining rights and duties, strengthened constitutional commitment to universal education, and demonstrated evolution of fundamental duties to address contemporary challenges.
