74th Amendment	1992	Added Part IXA (Articles 243P to 243ZG) providing constitutional recognition to Urban Local Bodies. Established three types of urban institutions - Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Nagar Panchayats. Added Twelfth Schedule with 18 subjects for urban governance and mandated similar democratic features as rural bodies.	Strengthened urban governance by providing constitutional framework for city administration. Enhanced service delivery in urban areas, improved municipal finances through structured revenue systems, and created democratic accountability in urban management, though implementation remains uneven across states.
