For Prelims preparation, focus on factual memorization of key governance indicators, India's rankings, and constitutional provisions. Memorize the eight core governance principles and their definitions.

Create a comprehensive list of India's performance in major international indices with recent rankings and trends. Pay special attention to constitutional articles (39A, 40, 51A, 324) and their connection to governance principles.

Study the 73rd and 74th amendments thoroughly, including their provisions and impact. Memorize key legislation like RTI Act 2005, Lokpal Act 2013, and their institutional mechanisms. Focus on recent governance reforms and initiatives like JAM trinity, Digital India, GST implementation, and their outcomes.

Practice identifying connections between governance principles and specific policies or institutions. Common traps include confusing similar-sounding indices, mixing up India's rankings across different years, and incorrectly attributing governance initiatives to wrong time periods.

Use elimination techniques by identifying obviously incorrect options first, then choosing between remaining alternatives based on factual accuracy.
