For Prelims, focus on factual recall: memorize the exact five principles using the RNIEP mnemonic (Respect, Non-aggression, Independence, Equality, Peace). Remember key dates - April 29, 1954 for the original agreement, 1955 for Bandung Conference.

Associate key personalities - Nehru, Zhou Enlai for formulation; Sukarno, Nasser, Tito for Bandung. Know the constitutional connection - Article 51 and Directive Principles. Practice elimination techniques: if a question asks about principles NOT in Panchsheel, eliminate options containing collective security, military alliance, or ideological alignment.

Watch for trap options that mix Panchsheel with other doctrines or conferences. Recent trends show questions testing the relationship between Panchsheel and contemporary policies like Neighborhood First or Strategic Autonomy.
