Focus on memorizing key facts: treaty names, years of signing/ratification, specific targets and timelines, and recent amendments. Create a master list of all major environmental treaties with India's status (signed/ratified/not party).

Pay special attention to numbers: emission reduction targets, renewable energy capacity goals, financial commitments, and timeline years. Practice distinguishing between similar-sounding treaties and their specific focus areas.

Use elimination techniques by identifying obviously wrong options first - often one option will have incorrect years or completely wrong treaty focus. Stay updated with recent COP outcomes, new treaty developments, and India's policy announcements through monthly current affairs.

Create comparison charts for similar treaties (Stockholm vs Basel vs Rotterdam conventions) to avoid confusion. Remember that UPSC often tests the 'why' behind India's treaty positions, not just the 'what' - understand the rationale for India's approach to different environmental challenges.
