Memorise the sequence with an action beside each date: appointment in 1979, report in December 1980, implementation memorandum in August 1990, judicial decision in November 1992 and further memorandum in September 1993. This is more reliable than memorising a bare list. Keep Kalelkar's 1953/1955 chronology separate.

When an option cites 27 per cent, check the institutional setting and the specific policy. The historical Central Government employment recommendation does not independently answer a question about every educational institution or State scheme. Likewise, the 52 per cent estimate needs its historical source label; it should not be presented as a fresh 2026 census result.

Distinguish the Mandal Commission from today's NCBC. A historical parliamentary report can establish past events while the current Constitution establishes later institutional status. For creamy-layer questions, understand the exclusion of socially advanced sections within the relevant class, but do not guess a current threshold or treat that idea as identical to a separate economic-reservation category.
