Green Technology — UPSC Importance
UPSC Importance Analysis
Green technology links environmental problem-solving with science, industry and public policy. It is useful for understanding why a promising invention needs both a sound mechanism and a workable system of deployment. Preparation should move beyond technology names to the evidence that establishes an environmental benefit.
Objective practice can test prevention versus treatment, total consumption versus intensity, and operational emissions versus life-cycle impacts. Analytical practice can connect design, implementation and verification. A strong answer explains which pressure is reduced, what service is maintained and whether an important impact is shifted to another stage or location.
The EPA's green-chemistry principles provide concrete design concepts; numerical examples in this lesson are original teaching exercises. They are not previous-year questions or measured project results. No examination-frequency claim is made. The central preparation goal is to judge a proposed solution fairly: recognise real improvements, identify the boundaries of the claim and specify the operating and monitoring conditions needed for the benefit to continue.
