Read the notification sequence and the relevant segment before relying on a date. The August 2026 amendment changes the specified March terms; it does not make the two deadlines optional alternatives. A fund-limited programme can close a component before the terminal date, and an explicitly closed L5 segment is not automatically reopened by a general extension.

For incentive arithmetic, calculate each cap separately and take the applicable minimum. In the 3 kWh, ₹30,000 example, the values are ₹7,500, ₹5,000 and ₹4,500. Do not add caps or stop after the battery calculation. Other eligibility conditions remain outside this simplified exercise.

For payback, use net annual savings. An extra recurring maintenance cost must reduce energy savings before dividing the initial premium by the annual amount. Finally, distinguish the scope of environmental claims: tailpipe emissions concern operation at the vehicle, while a life-cycle comparison also includes production, electricity and end-of-life stages under consistent assumptions.
