Prelims Strategy

Separate three timelines when an event takes place at a historic site: the festival’s establishment, the venue’s construction and the development of the art forms. Khajuraho’s 1975 festival date does not date its monuments or the origins of classical dance. Hornbill’s 2000 inception similarly dates the organised platform rather than Naga communities.

Read evaluation questions by identifying the stated objective. Audience numbers measure reach more directly than skill transmission; continued learning is closer to a safeguarding objective. Neither measure answers every question. Equal budgets also do not imply equal outcomes when activities and beneficiaries differ.

For economic examples, perform the arithmetic and then check the concept. A remainder after subtracting one category of spending is not automatically profit or value added. For representation questions, distinguish a clearly labelled excerpt from a claim to present a whole tradition. Practitioner participation and explanatory context can make adaptation intelligible without requiring either rigid uniformity or rejection of every shortened form. Match each conclusion to the available evidence.
