Use short scenarios to distinguish confidentiality, integrity and availability. Disclosure of a private message concerns confidentiality; unauthorised alteration of a payment instruction concerns integrity; inability to reach an otherwise intact service concerns availability. Some incidents affect more than one property, so read what the question asks you to identify.

For resilience, look beneath the number of components. Two providers may share an underlying physical route or dependency. The relevant question is whether the backup can operate when the primary component fails, not whether two contracts exist.

Learn the agency pair accurately: CERT-In corresponds to section 70B and NCIIPC to section 70A. Do not exchange incident response, critical-infrastructure protection and criminal investigation merely because all involve a digital incident.

For framework questions, remember that Govern was added as a distinct function in NIST CSF 2.0 in 2024. The functions describe connected outcomes, not a law requiring organisations to complete one and permanently abandon it before moving to the next.
