Affected Areas and Impact — Mains Strategy

Mains Strategy

Open with: “The geographical contraction of LWE is significant, but its interpretation requires dated classifications and an assessment of how affected people recover.” This recognises progress while identifying the work the answer must do.

Present the December 2025 district classification with its reporting date, then distinguish it from Legacy and Thrust support. Explain why administrative categories, incident locations and welfare needs can differ. Add the October 2026 government assessment with explicit attribution rather than blending it into an older map.

Organise impact under violence, service access, livelihoods and rehabilitation. For each, identify an indicator and its limitation. For example, road length is an output; reliable access to a health facility is an outcome. Explain how rights recognition and accountable administration can improve trust without assuming that any single programme mechanically causes peace.

Conclude with: “Durable recovery is demonstrated when residents can use ordinary institutions safely and rebuild their lives.” This avoids treating either a district count or a declaration as a complete account of local conditions.
