Immunization Programs — Prelims Strategy
Prelims Strategy
Make pairs that are easy to confuse: eVIN with stock and temperature information; U-WIN with vaccination records; routine delivery with catch-up efforts; coverage with dropout; and an adverse event after vaccination with a causally established reaction. A question may test the relationship between these terms without asking for a detailed clinical schedule.
Practise denominator calculations. If 900 of 1,000 eligible children receive a first dose and 810 receive a later dose, the two coverage rates are 90% and 81%. Dropout from the first-dose group is 90/900, or 10%, while the coverage gap is nine percentage points. Identify which measure the stem requests before calculating.
Retain the unit and date of official updates. The 2026 HPV programme concerns a specified age cohort; a dose-delivery milestone does not establish a cancer-incidence outcome. Avoid using an old programme page's prospective rollout language as current coverage evidence. For zero-dose terminology, remember the operational DTP-first-dose proxy rather than interpreting it as a literal record of no vaccine of any kind.
