Definition
An ethics case study is a practical exercise in choosing and justifying a course of action under factual, legal and institutional constraints. It asks how values guide a decision, not merely whether the candidate can name virtues.
A good response separates known facts from assumptions, identifies affected people and duties, compares feasible options and explains the selected action. It also states implementation, communication and review.
The preferred option need not be costless, but its remaining risks should be recognised and managed. Case analysis is strongest when it combines care, truthful reasoning and realistic authority rather than inventing powers or dramatic solutions.
