Start with layer number and bonding arrangement. Graphene is an individual honeycomb carbon layer; graphite is a stack and diamond has a different three-dimensional network. Graphene oxide includes oxygen-bearing groups, so a sheet-like shape does not make it chemically identical to pristine graphene.

Separate carrier mobility from band gap and device function. Ideal monolayer graphene's transport properties do not by themselves establish the off-state behaviour required by a conventional digital switch. A substrate or contact can affect measured performance, and a laboratory result should retain its experimental conditions.

For composite arithmetic, use the requested denominator. Two grams of additive in a final hundred grams gives two percent; dividing by ninety-eight gives an additive-to-polymer ratio. A rise from fifty to sixty is a twenty-percent increase relative to fifty, not ten percent or 16.7 percent. Remember the 2010 Nobel recognition accurately, and avoid converting a historical discovery or a component measurement into a universal claim about finished products and service life.
