To excel in UCM questions for NEET, a multi-pronged strategy is essential. Firstly, ensure crystal-clear conceptual understanding: differentiate between speed and velocity, and understand *why* acceleration exists even at constant speed.

Always remember that velocity is tangential, while centripetal acceleration and force are radial (towards the center). Secondly, master the key formulas: v=romegav = romega, ac=v2/r=romega2a_c = v^2/r = romega^2, and Fc=mv2/r=mromega2F_c = mv^2/r = mromega^2.

Practice converting between linear and angular quantities, and between period and frequency. Thirdly, for numerical problems, always draw a free-body diagram to identify all forces acting on the object.

Crucially, identify which force (or component of a force) is providing the centripetal force. Set up Newton's second law equation in the radial direction (Fnet,radial=mv2/rF_{net, \text{radial}} = mv^2/r). For problems involving banking of roads or vertical circular motion, carefully resolve forces along and perpendicular to the incline/radius.

Pay close attention to the direction of friction (up or down the incline) for maximum vs. minimum speed scenarios. Finally, be wary of common traps like confusing centripetal and centrifugal forces, or assuming zero acceleration when speed is constant.
