Indian Space Programme — Prelims Strategy
Prelims Strategy
Build two comparison tables: institution-to-function and mission-to-capability. VSSC's launch-vehicle role differs from URSC spacecraft work and SDSC launch operations. ISRO, IN-SPACe and NSIL also have distinct policy roles; facilitation and authorisation should not be confused with commercialisation or advanced R&D.
For missions, identify what was demonstrated. Soft landing, orbit insertion, docking and a communication link are different achievements. SpaDeX docking on 16 January 2025 does not mean a space station was operating. Chandrayaan-3's landing region should not be casually equated with the exact geographic south pole.
Keep orbit and payload separate. NISAR's L- and S-band radar pairing concerns instruments, while its sun-synchronous polar orbit concerns geometry. A repeat cycle is not the time needed to process a product or guarantee a particular policy outcome. Check whether an official page describes a planned or completed milestone, since pre-launch wording can remain visible beside later updates. Treat future schedules as plans until completion is confirmed.
