To excel in NEET questions on bond parameters, a systematic approach is essential. Firstly, master the definitions and factors influencing each parameter: bond length (atomic size, bond order, s-character, resonance), bond angle (VSEPR theory, lone pair repulsion, electronegativity of terminal atoms, hybridization), and bond energy (bond order, atomic size, electronegativity difference). Create a mental flowchart for each parameter.

For bond length and energy, remember the direct relationship with bond order (higher bond order = shorter length, higher energy). For resonance structures, calculate fractional bond order. For bond angles, VSEPR theory is your best friend. Always determine the central atom's hybridization and count lone pairs. Remember the repulsion order: lp-lp > lp-bp > bp-bp. Practice predicting geometries and angles for common molecules (e.g., \ce{CH4}, \ce{NH3}, \ce{H2O}, \ce{SF4}, \ce{XeF2}).

For MOT-based bond order calculations, practice writing MO configurations for diatomic molecules and ions up to 20 electrons. Pay close attention to the order of filling orbitals and correctly identifying bonding (NbN_b) and antibonding (NaN_a) electrons. Be careful with charges on ions.

When solving MCQs, read the question carefully, especially words like 'increasing,' 'decreasing,' 'largest,' 'smallest,' or 'incorrect statement.' Eliminate options systematically. If it's a comparison question, quickly sketch Lewis structures or determine hybridization to compare the relevant parameters. Don't rush numerical calculations for bond order.
